Your local emergency services are hosting a “Battle of the Badges” blood drive in honor of Bedford County’s very own, KAEMEY YOUNG.

Below is a message from the Young family…

Kaemey was diagnosed on November 6, 2024 with ALL leukemia. Kaemey spent several days in the hospital but through God’s amazing healing and power she was released to return home much earlier than expected.

Kaemey completed her first cycle of treatments on December 6. We have since received results from her bone marrow biopsy following the first cycle that the treatments have been very effective and the lowest level of detection available shows no leukemia!

Kaemey is expected to undergo a 2.5 year treatment plan to conquer this disease. We are so encouraged by her strength and faith as she fights this fight!

Our prayer is for God’s will to be fulfilled through this and for Him to receive so much glory from our journey. We feel privileged to be given the opportunity to walk this journey by Kaemey’s side.

We appreciate all the love, prayers and support shown to Kaemey and our family!

We pray for a successful blood drive that will benefit so many and we are so thankful to be a small part of it!
