Despite out-hitting Warren County 12-9, the Cascade Champions couldn’t push the tying run across the plate in the bottom of the sixth inning and fell to the Pioneers, 9-8.
It was a slow trickle of offense for Warren County, who eventually built a 6-0 lead at one point, but Cascade rallied to pull within one by the bottom of the fourth inning.
Two innings later, Warren County padded its lead with three more runs in the top of the six, only for Cascade to match the effort and put three runs across the plate in the bottom of the inning.
