The 2024 4th Annual American Mule and Bluegrass Festival (AMBF), held September 26–29 at the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration (TWHNC) Grounds in Shelbyville.

American Mule and Bluegrass Association Chairman Marty Ray Gordon the event was “a resounding success”.

“Despite potential rain from Hurricane Helena, the event seamlessly transitioned indoors, ensuring the activities went off without a hitch,” Gordon said. “With faith in God, American Mule and Music Association (AMMA), embodied its mission of combining education, competition, and entertainment to give back to the community.”

A highlight of the event was the raffle of “Esther,” a molly mule colt donated by Better Homes and Garden Heritage Realty. The raffle raised $8,970 for Greenhouse Ministries of Murfreesboro, and was won by Linda Taylor of Indiana.

Over 800 young boys and girls participated in the Jr. Mule Skinner program and received a certificate signed by Senior Mule Skinner Danny Ray Davis.

“Please make your plans to attend Sept 25 thru 28 2025 at the TWHNC Grounds,” Gordon said. “I want to say thank you to all our sponsors for your support giving back to the community.”
