Throughout 2025, Bedford County has seen many new projects and investments come into the area with many new opportunities and growth for the community and region as a whole.
Several large-scale projects have been either completed or started this year, including the brand TCAT campus that will offer an expanded selection of programs in addition to those hosted at the old campus on Madison Street.
In the same area on Highway 231, will be the new state-of-the-art MTSU Aerospace facility, which has officially begun construction as of December 2025. Over 1,400 aerospace students and over 50 airplanes are planned to be moved there throughout 2026.
The Riverview District project and the renovations on the square have already shown fast progress and will continue to improve the riverside along the Duck River and will help the square to continue to expand.
Bedford County is also working continue to improve its emergency services infrastructure with its new 9-1-1 center of communications, starting construction during August of 2025.
The current properties of the county also have had many new smaller renovations and additions that have added up to be a year full of improvement of infrastructure.
The most notable of these projects include: a new classroom addition wing with bathrooms at Liberty School, new soccer locker room and football concession with bathrooms at Cascade Middle School.
New roofs and other important forms of infrastructure have been installed or redone at various school and county buildings in addition to the bigger changes.
All projects were reviewed during the Dec. 16 County Committee meetings, which are available to watch on the Bedford County Government YouTube channel for a comprehensive list of all the many other projects have been started or completed throughout 2025.
