Spring is calling, and that means it’s time for one of Wartrace’s most beloved traditions—the annual Strawberry Festival! Coming Saturday May 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This festive day is packed with berry-filled fun right in the heart of Historic Downtown Wartrace.
Expect the square to be buzzing with excitement as local vendors line the streets with booths brimming with handmade treasures, boutique finds, arts & crafts, pottery, decor, baked goods, canned treats, and so much more—each sprinkled with a strawberry twist! Whether you’re hunting for that perfect gift or just here to browse, there’s a little something sweet for everyone.
This year, festival-goers can expect to see between 800 to 1,000 gallons of fresh strawberries available for purchase—so come early to stock up! Kids will love the lively Kids’ Zone, packed with fun activities just for them. Food lovers can indulge in a variety of food trucks and frozen treats sure to satisfy every craving. There will also be a professional photo op, perfect for capturing sweet memories with friends and family. Entertainment will include performances by the Mid-State Cloggers, live music from JJ Smoth Entertainment, and a wide variety of vendors and food trucks ready to make this year’s Strawberry Festival bigger and better than ever!
The best part? It’s a family-friendly event, and even leashed pets are welcome to join in on the fun!
And what’s a Strawberry Festival without a parade? Dress up in your juiciest strawberry attire and join the fun in the Strawberry Parade! Bring your wagons, bikes, or just your best strawberry spirit for a chance to snag the crown in the Strawberry Costume Contest. Parade line-up begins at the Methodist Church at 10:40 a.m., so don’t be late! The parade wraps around town ending at the Well House at 11 a.m. just in time to see some baked good treats.
Think you’re a berry good baker? Enter the Strawberry Bake-Off Contest for a shot at prizes and bragging rights! Bring your homemade, strawberry-themed treats and compete for:
– Best Tasting (1st Place)
– Most Presentable (2nd Place)
– Strawberry Spirit (3rd Place)
Judging, by the panel of Wartrace officials, kicks off at noon at the old Well House in the center of the square (just follow the strawberry balloons!). Bake-off entries must be dropped off between 10 a.m. and 11:30 AM—and yes, if you’re entering jam or jelly, don’t forget to pair it with homemade biscuits or something delicious to complete the bite.

Calling All Vendors! Vendor spots fill up fast! We’re on the lookout for unique booths selling arts & crafts, antiques, woodwork, homemade goodies, bath & body items, candles, produce, and more—but don’t forget to include a strawberry-themed item at your booth! Expect 2,000+ shoppers and lots of berry-hungry visitors, so stock up!
