Bedford County Mayor Chad Graham received two honors Saturday, Nov. 8, during the opening ceremonies of the annual Bedford County Veterans Day Parade.
State Rep. and Speaker Pro Tem Pat Marsh announced that Mayor Graham, a U.S. Army veteran, had been appointed the ceremonial Aide-De-Camp to the Governor of Tennessee, a position exclusively reserved for military and law enforcement veterans.
After the announcement, VFW Post 5019 Captain Tommie Boleyn presented Graham with a Medal of Commendation, an award reserved for veterans who’ve made significant contributions to their community following their military service.
