Mattie Maxey put on a show at the plate and Annie Prince was nearly flawless in the circle Thursday night as Community blanked Cascade 11-0 in six innings.
Maxey belted two home runs and drove in five runs to lead a Viqueens offense that racked up 21 hits. Prince took care of the rest, tossing a six-inning perfect game with 14 strikeouts and no walks as Community improved to 8-4 overall and 2-0 in district play. Community wasted no time taking command.
Maxey launched a two-run home run in the first inning to give the Viqueens an early spark, and the lead only grew from there.
The Viqueens added three more runs in the second inning to go up 5-0. Ryleigh Lassiter connected for a home run, while Haylee Webb drove in two runs to help Community create early separation.
Kamyrn Farrell added a solo home run in the fifth inning, and Community put the game away with a big sixth. Farrell and Brooklyn Yoes each drove in runs before Maxey crushed her second homer of the night, a three-run blast that capped the scoring.
Community got production throughout the lineup. Maxey, Farrell, Webb, Gracie Daniel and Anna Haskins each collected three hits, while Kailani Allen and Lassiter also turned in multi-hit performances.
Prince was dominant from the first pitch to the last, never allowing a baserunner and overpowering the Lady Champions lineup all evening.
Community now heads to Florida for the Fort Walton Beach Bash over spring break.
Cascade returns home Monday to host Marshall County at 6:00 P.M.

Community hit four home runs in a 11-0 win over Cascade on Thursday. Ryleigh Lassiter (left) and Kamyrn Farrell (right) each had one with Mattie Maxey (center) connecting on two long balls.
