The Shelbyville-Bedford County Chamber of Commerce announced on Thursday, March 5 the official relaunch of its organization with a renewed mission to serve local businesses, strengthen community partnerships, and attract quality jobs and industry to Bedford County.

Central to this renewal, the chamber has named Joe Marchesoni as the new Chief Executive Officer.

Marchesoni brings more than 30 years of experience in business development and community engagement, including leadership roles in the broadband and telecommunications industry.

Most recently, he served as an Enterprise Account Executive with United Communications, where he worked with businesses of all sizes to advance their technology solutions and connectivity needs.

In his new role, Marchesoni will lead the organization’s efforts to strengthen local businesses, support workforce and economic development efforts, promote Bedford County’s tourism assets, and to expand strategic partnerships with government, education, and industry leaders. His appointment marks a pivotal moment as the Chamber renews its commitment to collaboration, operational transparency, and community impact.

“For over 40 years, the Chamber has taken many shapes and served many roles. We are proud to begin this new chapter with Joe at the helm,” said Jody Lambert, Chair of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. “His deep commitment to this community and his experience engaging businesses across Middle Tennessee will be instrumental as we work together to elevate our local economy and ensure Bedford County remains a destination for quality jobs and sustainable growth.”

The Chamber will serve as a central hub for business support, workforce initiatives, educational alignment, and tourism promotion throughout Bedford County and the surrounding region.

“I’m honored to lead the Bedford County Chamber at such a pivotal moment in its organizational history,” Marchesoni said. “This community is my home, and I look forward to working with our existing members, business leaders, educators, and elected officials to create new opportunities, attract new industry, and make Bedford County an even better place to live, work, and play.”
