Big Fourth Inning Lifts Liberty Creek Past Viqueens

The Community Viqueens (2-1) saw an early lead slip away Wednesday night as the Liberty Creek Lady Wolves erupted for a 10-run fourth inning on the way to a 13–3 victory at Liberty Creek High School.
Community struck first in the top of the first inning when Kailani Allen blasted a two-run home run to center field to give the Viqueens an early advantage.
The Viqueens added another run in the third inning. Haylee Webb drove in a run with a sacrifice fly to push the lead to 3–0.
Liberty Creek broke through in the bottom of the third when Addi Kiser launched a solo home run to left field following a seven-pitch at-bat to trim the deficit to 3–1.
The Lady Wolves then turned the game around in the fourth inning. Liberty Creek sent 14 batters to the plate and scored 10 runs on six hits to take an 11–3 lead. Kiser delivered the biggest hit of the inning with a bases-clearing double that drove in three runs.
Liberty Creek added two more runs in the fifth to close out the scoring. In the circle, Tulip Heinrich earned the win in relief for the Lady Wolves. Heinrich tossed three hitless innings, allowing no runs while striking out one and walking two. Parker Holt started for Liberty Creek and gave up three runs on three hits across two innings.
For Community, Annie Prince started in the circle and struck out six while allowing one run on two hits over 2⅓ innings. Ryleigh Lassiter took the loss in relief after allowing 12 runs (11 earned) on 10 hits with four walks and two strikeouts. The Viqueens were limited to three hits in the game. Alana Tate, Webb and Allen each recorded a hit, with Allen driving in two runs.
