Billy Wayne Overcast, 70, of Shelbyville died March 13, 2024. “A Celebration of Life” will be held Sunday, March 24, at Hillcrest Funeral Home from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley Clayton Overcast and Edith Haggard Overcast and his brother, Jerry Overcast.
He is survived by his children, Billy “B.J.” Overcast and Kandi (Jonathan) Carter; sisters, Judy (Ronnie) Lashbrook and Brenda (Shawn) Rohelier; grandchildren, Jade and Addison Carter and Haley Holton; also a niece and several nephews.
He graduated from Wartrace High School, Class of 1972. He worked as a trailer park manager and maintenance man. Billy loved working on cars and could fix almost anything. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyway he could. He loved to tell jokes or try to trick you with a riddle. All the neighborhood kids over the years knew if you needed your bike fixed he was your first stop. He was truly a great man and Father. We will all miss him dearly.
To his caregivers over the years at Glen Oaks and The Waters of Winchester: ‘Thank You So Much.’
