SHELBYVILLE — Stephen Bobo was simply masterful on the mound against Warren County on Wednesday afternoon.
But getting an 11-run inning to back his strong start didn’t hurt, either.
With Bobo dealing on the mound, and the Eagles’ bats humming, Shelbyville crushed the Pioneers 15-0 in five innings.
Bobo twirled a gem and pitched a three-hit shutout through five innings and struck out five batters.
As a team, the Eagles hammered the Pioneer pitching staff to the tune of 13 hits, four of which went for extra bases.
At the plate, William Bobo went 3-for-4 with a double and a triple, while driving in three runs.
Palmer Edwards also connected on a two RBI double in the 11-run fourth.
Caden Dugan also connected on a RBI triple in the fourth as well.
After Warren County led off the game with a single in the top of the first, Bobo settled in and sat down the Pioneers in order.
Brody Lovvorn drove in the first run of the game in the bottom of the first on a two-out RBI single to center field.
The Eagles played add on in the second when Duggin slugged a line drive to deep center field, scoring Michael Estrada.
Shelbyville again played the two-out add-on game in the third when Ashton Whorley singled on a line drive to right allowing Palmer Edwards to score.
In the next at-bat, Reager Edwards drove in a second run in the inning on a RBI single to left, plating Whorley.
