The Cascade High School FFA chapter has been recognized as a 3-Star Chapter in the 2025 National Chapter Award Program by the National FFA Organization, placing it among the top chapters in the nation. Fewer than 10% of FFA chapters nationwide earn a star ranking, making this an outstanding achievement for Cascade students and educators.
“Cascade FFA has a strong tradition of leadership and innovation, and this award reflects the dedication of our students, advisors and supporters,” said Cascade High School Principal Sandy Sorrells. “For the 13th year, Cascade FFA has earned this top ranking, a consistent success that reflects the dedication of our students and the leadership of FFA Advisor Mike Swafford.”
The National Chapter Award Program honors FFA chapters across the country that actively implement the mission and strategies of the organization. Recognized chapters demonstrate excellence by improving chapter operations, growing leaders, building communities and strengthening agriculture. Cascade’s FFA chapter earned the 3-star distinction by providing high-quality educational experiences that benefit its entire membership and the local community.
Star-rated chapters will be formally recognized during the 98th National FFA Convention & Expo, taking place October 29–November 1 in Indianapolis.
“Bedford County Schools is committed to providing students with opportunities to develop leadership, career readiness and personal growth. Programs like FFA play a vital role in preparing students for success in agriculture and beyond,” commented Superintendent of Schools Dr. Tammy Garrett.
This honor is made possible thanks to national, corporate sponsors including Bayer, Cargill Protein, Case IH, John Deere, Syngenta, and Rabobank.
