LYNCHBURG — The Cascade Champion wrestling team added another match to the win column on Tuesday night, crushing Moore County, 52-24.
Cascade recorded eight wins via pin and a ninth win on the mat by major decision.
Hayden Dowell, Isaac Chapa and Dylan Warren got the Champs off to a hot start with three-straight pins to take an 18-0 lead.
The Raiders’ first win came at the 106-pound weight class, which was vacant of a Cascade wrestler resulting in a forfeit.
After Moore County claimed its first earned win at the 126-pound weight class, Briston Moore and Vayden Moore tacked on two more wins.
After Cascade took two more wins via forfeit, the Raiders took a final win via pin at the 175-pound weight class for the final margin.
Cascade will participate in the Beech Invitational on Saturday.
