Champs flex might, crush Huntland

HUNTLAND — The Cascade Champions (3-1) turned in their most dominant win of the young season on Monday night, dismantling Huntland to the tune of 18-3.
There were plenty of highlights at the plate for Cascade on Monday, highlighted by Walker Craig’s two-run shot over the center field fence in the top of the second.
Cascade accounted for three doubles, with Jordan Childress, James Magee and Caden Hammonds all mashing two-baggers, while Conner Melson mashed a RBI triple in the top of the third.
Jayden Hathcock also tripled in the win as well.
Logan Green went 3-for-4 with a pair of runs driven in, while Hathcock was 2-for-3 with four RBIs.
Plenty of Cascade pitchers got work in the blowout victory, with Hathcock taking the win on the mound.
He pitched two shutout innings with six strikeouts.
Green pitched a scoreless inning with two strikeouts ,while Luke Harris tossed an inning, allowing three unearned runs, while striking out two.
James Magee also pitched a scoreless inning for the Champs.
Cascade will be back on the road on Wednesday, traveling to Lynchburg to face the Moore County Raiders, before closing the week on Friday at home against Huntland.
