Clanton posts personal best as Cascade takes team win

SHELBYVILLE — Anna Clanton shot a career best and helped lead the Lady Champions to a big win against Eagleville on Monday afternoon at River Bend, while the Champion golf team took third in the match against Eagleville and Moore County.
Clanton and teammate Tatyana Greene both shot sub-40 rounds, with Clanton’s 34 being the top mark of the day.
Greene turned in a 39 as Cascade combined for a 73, beating Eagleville’s team score of 85.
In the boys’ match, Eagleville turned in a 176 to take the team win behind Koltt Bassham’s team-best 41.
For the Champions, Broly Wiser shot a 52 to lead Cascade.
As a team, the Champions carded a 234, while Moore County finished with a 196.
Cascade continues a busy week and will travel to Henry Horton on Wednesday and Thursday.
