Mrs. Claudine Joy Brown, age 88, of Bell Buckle, Tenn., gained her wings and dancing shoes on Monday, September 4, 2023 at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Claudine was born Saturday, January 26, 1935 in Arthur, Neb., to the late Claude and Marjorie Callan Blake.
Mrs. Brown was the former owner of “Mrs. Browns Country Store” located in Beech Grove, Tennessee. She loved cooking and serving her community delicious country meals. Mrs. Brown was a member of Hoover’s Gap Church in Christiana, Tenn. Mrs. Brown was a wonderful lady who enjoyed life and made her family her number one priority. A close second was her animal friends, horses, dogs, cats, deer, raccoons and squirrels. She loved all wildlife.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Albert Dean Brown who passed September 2002; three Brothers, Darrell Blake, Delbert Blake and Willard Blake.
Claudine is survived by her four children, two sons Joe Brown of Wartrace, Tenn., and Jimmy (Renee) Brown of Manchester, Tenn.; her two daughters Joyce M. Brown of Bell Buckle and Gina (Keith) Jones of Wartrace; one brother Dale (Roberta) Blake of Danville, Neb.; two grandchildren Justin (Svenja) Brown of Catawba, N.C., and Brandon Floyd of Wartrace; one great-granddaughter Scarlet Brown of Catawba, N.C.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hoover’s Gap Church, 13446 Manchester Pike, Christiana, Tenn.
