The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating an accident that claimed the life of a Bedford County man.
Thomas Buchwald, 61, was traveling on Haley Road near Three Forks Road on Monday afternoon, when he lost control of his 2021 Jeep, hit a culvert and overturned, ejecting him into a field.
First arriving Fire Rescue units found Mr. Buchwald unresponsive and attempted resuscitative efforts but they were unsuccessful. Buchwald was pronounced dead on scene.
THP said that Buchwald was not wearing a seatbelt and no other vehicles were involved in the accident.
