Dorothy Lee Adcock Bridges, 97, of Shelbyville died January 19, 2024. Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, January 26, at Hillcrest Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m.
She was born May 24, 1926, in Bedford County and was a member of Singleton United Methodist Church. She was a loving MeMaw to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Lee Adcock and Addie Bell Burrow Adcock; her husband of 56 years, Herschel M. Bridges; a granddaughter, Erin Williams; sisters and brothers, Baula May Adcock, James Adcock, Mary Adcock, Neal Adcock, Thomas Adcock and Billy Adcock.
Dorothy is survived by her grandson, Jason (Lindsay) Williams of Shelbyville; great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Houk, Kason Williams and Kennedi Williams and a sister, Bobby Gene Husky of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
