SHELBYVILLE — Shelbyville Central sent its senior class out on a high note on Wednesday afternoon, with the Eaglettes taking a 4-0 win over Smyrna and the Eagles taking a 7-0 sweep.
No. 1 singles seed Caitlyn Burdick picked up an 8-2 win, while Raynn Gary took her singles match, 8-3.
Evelyn Basurto shutout her opponent with an 8-0 win.
In doubles, Burdick, along with partner Sophie Ray, also picked up an 8-0 win.
For the Eagles, it was a clean sweep in singles action, with Henry Stone, Justin Spence, Jackson Benson, Hoyt Wessner and Tucker Johnson all taking 8-0 singles victories.
The Eagles also took both doubles matches by scores of 8-1, with No. 1 duo of Stone and Spence picking up a win and Benson and Wessner locking down the No. 2 doubles victory.
