SHELBYVILLE — Shelbyville Central’s Golden Eagles fell 11-4 to visiting Lincoln County in a District 9-4A matchup on Wednesday evening.
It was Kyler Trice Night in honor of the senior baseball player who suffered a medical emergency in a basketball game at Lincoln County.
Three individuals from Lincoln County who were credited for help saving his life at that basketball were also honored before the game.
The Golden Eagles (3-7, 0-2) only collected three hits, two by sophomore Brody Lovvorn.
Freshman left-hander Steven Bobo got the start on the mound for Shelbyville Central.
He fanned three batters, walked four while giving up four hits in four innings of work.
William Bobo, Michael Estrada and Ashton Whorley made relief appearance for the Golden Eagles
Samual Smith went the distance to claim the win for the Falcons, scattering three hits over seven innings while striking out eight and walking four.
The Golden Eagles committed five errors and a total of 12 in the two-game series.
