McMINNVILLE — Two weeks ago, Warren County stunned the Shelbyville Central Golden Eaglettes on their home court with a 64-59 loss.
On Tuesday, the Eaglettes got a little payback with a convincing 47-29 win over the Lady Pioneers.
After a slow start out of the gates, the Eaglettes dominated the final three quarters in the 18-point victory.
Paige Blackburn led the charge, sinking four treys to lead all scorers with 18 points.
Lilly Brown also had a solid night for the Eaglettes, turning in a 16-point performance.
She was able to score at multiple levels for Shelbyville and was an efficient 5-of-6 tries from the charity stripe.
After battling to an 8-8 draw at the end of the first quarter, Shelbyville went on to outscore Warren County 12-5 in the second quarter to carry a 20-13 lead into the half.
Not much changed in the second half as Shelbyville tacked on an 11-8 run in the third and closed the game with their strongest quarter, notching another 16 points.
In the fourth, the Eaglettes got hot from the perimeter and connected on four treys, with Blackburn and Sammie Brown both knocking down a pair of 3-pointers.
The Eaglettes are back on the road on Thursday night, traveling to Spring Hill for another District 9-4A tilt.
