SHELBYVILLE — After a close first quarter, Shelbyville Central’s Golden Eaglettes pulled away to claim a commanding 46-30 win over visiting Spring Hill (10-16, 2-7) in a District 9-4A matchup on Tuesday evening.
It was Senior Night as Golden Eaglette seniors Paige Blackburn, Sammie Brown and Lilly Brown were honored after the game.
After battling to a 9-9 tie at the end of the opening frame, Shelbyville Central (14-10, 3-6) outscored Spring Hill 37-21 over the final three quarters, posting a 25-13 advantage at the intermission and 40-22 lead going into the fourth stanza.
Lilly Brown scored a game-high 15 points to pace the Golden Eagtlettes in scoring followed by Paige Blackburn with 13, including three 3-pointers. Morgan Pridmore added nine.
Spring Hill’s Alayzia Harrison pitched in 14 points followed by Jz Brashear with 11.
Shelbyville closes the regular season on Friday at Columbia.
