Evelyn Marie Solomon, 89, of Shelbyville died September 5, 2023. Graveside Services were held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 9, at Mount Herman Cemetery with Rev. Tim Forsythe officiating. Visitation was from Saturday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home.
She was born October 13, 1933 in Bedford County; retired employee of American Can Corporation and a member of Hannah’s Gap Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawson D. and Pauline Warren and a daughter, Diane Solomon Gann.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Billy Solomon; granddaughter/caregiver, Traci (Terry) Broadway of Shelbyville; sisters, Melba Powell of Murfreesboro, Wilsie Lemmon of Shelbyville; brother, Eddie (JoAnn) Warren of Fayetteville; six grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
