The Christmas Star: An Astronomer’s Journey with Billy Hix will be presented on Thursday, Dec. 14, at 6 p.m. at The Fly Arts Center. Hix, who is an internationally recognized educator, will present a program based on a scientific search for the Star of Bethlehem using historical documents and computer simulations. As part of the program, you will see a computer simulation of the night sky in Bethlehem over 2,000 years ago. You will see the night sky as it looked to the Magi. The event is free, however tickets are required due to limited seating. Tickets are available at the Library.
