The Shelbyville-Bedford County Senior Citizens Center, 111 J.G. Helton Dr., will be hosting an indoor yard sale on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 7 to 11 a.m. All proceeds go to the center. Blankenship UMC, 3602 Midland Rd., will be hosting a Chili Supper and Singing event on Oct. 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. They will have home cooked chili over an open fire, gospel singing, and a goody basket raffle. Prices are $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.
“Music in Raus” will be Saturday, Oct. 14, at 6:30 to 9 p.m. at 110 John Brinkley Rd. in Shelbyville. The event is a tri-county historical preservation fundraising event focused on restoring and preserving the Raus Schoolhouse. The night will feature Midnight Jane, a silent auction, a historical slideshow, and great BBQ.
The Sevier Street First Baptist Church will host a Breast Cancer Awareness program on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m. The guest speaker will be Minister Donna Perkins of Chattanooga. Lunch will be served.
Pleasant Grove Methodist Church will be hosting a revival from Oct. 15 to 17 at 7 p.m. each night. Dinner will be at 6 p.m. each night, and the speaker will be Chris Harris. Everyone is welcome.
