Southside Church of Christ has partnered with Healing Hands International, a faith-based nonprofit that provides physical and spiritual opportunities to those in need around the world. They do this through programs like clean water, sustainable farming, business development for women, and resources for local evangelists. Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville (TCAT) is excited to announce the upcoming Spring Graduation Ceremony, honoring the achievements of all 2023 term graduates and Spring 2024 term graduates. The ceremony is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 18, at 6 p.m. at the Shelbyville Central High School Gymnasium located at 401 Eagle Blvd.

A tent revival, titled "Suddenly," will be held beginning Friday and lasting through Sunday at 1701 Green Lane in Shelbyville. Guests include Rema Duncan, Amado Huizar, Frankie Taylor, Kathy Hernandez, Charity Hernandez, and Indiana Bible College. The event will be Friday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m.

The Community High School Band is hosting the “Viking Dash”, a 5-K/1-mile walk or run April 20 at 9 a.m.

The Celebration City Region Car Club Cruise-In will be every fourth Friday each month on the Shelbyville Square from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is free and includes food vendors and live music. You can bring your car or just come look.

There will be another sobriety checkpoint on Friday, April 26, at 9 p.m. on 64 east, 0.6 miles east of the 15-mile marker in Bedford County.

Middle Tennessee Spay and Neuter Clinic will host a “Pet Vaccination and Microchip Drive-Up Event” April 27 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the clinic at 846 Union St. Vaccines include rabies (feline or canine), canine distemper/parvo, canine Bordetella and feline distemper.
