The 27th Annual Rotary Club of Shelbyville Golf Tournament is scheduled for May 3 at Riverbend Country Club. There are four levels of sponsorship with benefits based on which one is chosen: *Eagle Sponsor: $1,500 *Birdie Sponsor: $1,000 *Par Sponsor: $625 *Hole Sponsor: $250 The entry fee for a team of four players is $500.

A sobriety checkpoint will be present on Friday, May 3, at 9 p.m. on US 41A North about a mile south of the 3-mile marker in Bedford County.

Blankenship Community Church, 3602 Midland Rd., will be hosting their 1st Saturday of the Month free breakfast starting at 8 a.m. They will serve sausage, biscuits, hog jaw bacon, coffee, potatoes, country ham, gravy, eggs, pork tenderloin. The Annual Flat Creek Community Center Spaghetti Supper will be May 4, from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. The cost is $10 and includes spaghetti, salad, bread, drink, and dessert.
