A Car Show will be held at Shelbyville Central High School, 401 Eagle Blvd., on Saturday, April 6, beginning at 10 a.m.  The event will feature vendors, food, and a car competition. The cost is $25 per entry. All donations benefit the high school football program.

Blankenship Community Church, 3602 Midland Rd., will be hosting their 1st Saturday of the Month free breakfast starting at 8 a.m. They will serve sausage, biscuits, hog jaw bacon, coffee, potatoes, country ham, gravy, eggs, pork tenderloin. There will be a sobriety checkpoint on Friday, April 5, at 9 p.m. on U.S. 41A North, 0.9 miles south of the 3-mile marker in Bedford County.
