SHELBYVILLE — The Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles made their return to the Eagles’ Nest on Friday night for the first time in over a month to the newly renovated facility.
Although the Golden Eagles have found some success within region play, Shelbyville was unable to stop a potent Ravenwood offense on Friday night and fell 45-14.
The Raptor defense gave the Golden Eagles fits all night and were simply put, a menace in the defensive secondary.
Ravenwood intercepted Shelbyville quarterback Stephen Bobo three times on the night.
He completed just 11-of-20 attempts for 143 yards.
He added 29 yards on five carries and a touchdown on the ground.
Robert Bailey tacked on 79 yards on 28 touches and a score as well.
Tor’rion Mathis and Trevinon Mathis combined for 39 yards on 11 carries as well.
Through the air, Xavier Jordan was the biggest producer in the pass game, making one catch for 52 yards.
Jack Conditt also snagged three passes for 39 yards as well.
The loss marks the third in four games for Shelbyville, who still sits very much in the thick of the Region 6-6A race.
Shelbyville returns home for its final two games of the regular season, hosting non-region foe Hendersonville on Friday night before closing out the regular season on October 30 against Coffee County.
Kickoff for both games is set for 7 p.m.
