Hathcock dominant on the mound for Champs in 9-2AA win

BELL BUCKLE — Wickey Parker went 3-for-3 with a double and a two-run homer and Jayden Hathcok dominated on the mound as Cascade took down Grundy County 11-0 on Monday night.
Hathock was unhittable and tossed a gem, striking out 12 batters in five innings.
He spent the entirety of the game pitching with a lead, following a six-run first inning.
Wickey Parker got his hot night started with a one-out single that drove home two runs in the bottom of the first.
Jaxson Milliken added to the lead when he singled to center field, clearing the bases and giving Cascade a 5-0 lead.
A final run scored in the first when Jordan Childress ground into a fielder’s choice, giving the Champs a 6-0 lead after the first inning.
Parker added to the Cascade lead with a two-run homer in the second, bumping the lead to 8-0.
Cascade got three more runs in the fourth inning and following a 1-2-3 fifth, Cascade reached the 10-run rule limit to lock down the District 9-2A win.
Parker was the offensive hero, driving in four runs on the night, while Xykaiah Dixon went 2-for-4 with a double.
