Horace E. Rogers Jr. passed away on the morning of June 3, 2025
peacefully in his sleep with his loving wife of 54 years, Linda, by his side
He was born April 22, 1933 in Shelbyville, TN. He attended Shelbyville
Central High School where he graduated in 1951. He married his loving
wife Linda on December 25, 1970.
Horace worked at Cleveland Pneumatic for 33 years. He was an avid
hunter, fisherman and gardener. Horace had lots of dogs which he loved
each and everyone of them.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Horace E. Rogers Sr. and
Mary Helen Reid Rogers.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Linda; sister, Mary Powell
(W.A. Curtis), his sister-in-law, Barbara Perry (Jessie), brother-in-law,
Sherman Munds and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 7th, at
Hillcrest Funeral Home Pastor Yram Lopez officiating. Burial will follow
at Willow Mount Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M.
Honoring Horace as pallbearers will be his family and friends,
Greg Perry, Tony Reavis, Pruitt Marshall, W.A. Curtis, Jackie Crosslin
and Joe Milligan. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ken Lowery and
Bruce Snell.
