BELL BUCKLE — After slipping into a four-game slump, the Cascade Lady Champions picked a good time to break out the bats and snap the skid, blasting Grundy County 12-0 on Senior Night.
Aided by eight Lady Jacket errors, Cascade did plenty to help its cause at the plate, mashing out 12 hits against Grundy County in the shutout.
Ella Thompson, Momo Bilbro, Kyndal Bolden and Alyvia Fannin each recorded two-hit nights, with senior Claire Perry going 1-for-3 with a double.
Thompson also doubled.
Bolden, along with Alayna Cruse, who was 1-for-2, both drove in three RBIs in the blowout.
In the pitcher’s circle, senior Brianna Horn made the most of her special night, tossing four, no-hit innings with nine punch outs, while walking just two.
Cascade jumped on Grundy County, scoring three runs in each of the first two innings, before closing the game with two in the third and four more in the fourth to reach the run-rule limit.
