Howard Austin Pinkston, age 77, of Shelbyville, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at his home surrounded by family after an extended illness. He was the husband of Shelley E. Pinkston. They shared 43 years of marriage together.
Born in Shelbyville, Tenn., he was the son of the late Austin Pea Pinkston and late Fannie Jane Pinkston. He graduated from Petersburg High School in 1966.
Howard worked in the Automotive industry as a quality control inspector and retired from Century Mold.
Howard was a man of faith and attended Cannon United Methodist Church. He belonged to several organizations, Jail Ministry with CUMC, AM Vets, VFW 5019, Unionville Lions Club and Halls Mill Triangle Community Club to name a few. He enjoyed several hobbies like racing and antique tractor shows. He will be remembered for his trustworthiness and compassion for others and the love he had for his family.
He was survived by: his loving wife of 43 years, Shelley E. Pinkston; children, Chris (Lacey) Pinkston and Kristin (Brian) McBay; grandchildren, Tyler, Cameron, Allyssa and Logan all of Shelbyville. He was also survived by four brothers, Gale, Glenn, Michael and Terry Pinkston of Shelbyville.
He will have a Celebration of Life at Cannon United Methodist Church, 1001 South Cannon Blvd. Shelbyville, TN 37160 on February 11, 2024, at 1 p.m. with Brother Doug Dezotell officiating.
