Jack David Robinson, 66, of Bell Buckle, Tennessee, passed to his Heavenly home on June 29, 2023, following a tragic accident. David leaves behind his beloved wife of 46 years, Janet Whitmire Robinson; twin daughters, Karen Chapman (Forrest) of Pennsylvania and Kathryn Shull (Kirk) of Utah; and ten grandchildren, Joel Chapman, Lana Shull, Sarah Chapman, Andrew Shull, Maggie Chapman, Hannah Shull, David Chapman, Maryana Shull, Susanna Shull, and Timmy Chapman. He was a faithful husband, loving father, and adoring grandfather.

He was the son of the late James Clyde and Mildred Alice Robinson, and was preceded in death by his brother, John Clyde Robinson (Gayle-surviving), and his sisters, Freda Robinson and Lydia White. His surviving siblings are Russell Robinson, Mary Lokey (Ronnie), and Shirley Robinson.

David was a member of Southside Baptist Church for over 35 years where he has served as a deacon, teacher, youth leader, and more. As the owner of Robinson Home Improvement, he will be remembered by many as a master carpenter and dependable handyman. Along the way, he apprenticed many young men in the skill of carpentry.

What David was most known for was his love for the Lord Jesus Christ and his love for his family. If you spent any time with him in recent years, you no doubt heard him talk about his grandchildren, their personalities and accomplishments. His marriage with Janet was an example of love, devotion, and friendship. As a Daddy, he was loving and attentive, Karen and Kathy’s biggest supporter through the years.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, September 2, at 3 p.m., at Southside Baptist Church, 900 South Cannon Boulevard, Shelbyville, Tenn. The family will receive friends at the church 1:00-3:00 PM. Due to allergies, the family requests that no flowers be given in David’s memory.
