James “Jimmy” C. Hendren, born June 8, 1951, journeyed to heaven on March 20, 2024, at the age of 72. The family is very grateful for all of the prayers, good wishes, and blessings from all who remembered them and reached out to us during this time. The family would like to extend special thanks to Aveanna Hospice and to Sarah, Holly and Chaplain Jon for the excellent work and support that they offered for over two years.
Jimmy was born to B.C. Hendren, Jr. and Waitstill Ozment Hendren, who preceded him in death, in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 29 years, Becky Hendren; his children, Jeremy (Jamie) Hendren of Niotaze, Kansas; Ben (Hope) Hendren of Franklin, Tennessee; Lauran (Blake) Chadwick of Cunningham, Tennessee; and John Hendren of Shelbyville, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Jesse, Caroline, Jackson, Jake, Hayden and Ada Grace; Sisters Fayne Smith, Carolyn Harris Lehr, Beverly (Gerry) Anderson; and Brother, Bubba (Gaithel) Hendren; and extended family.
A service of celebration for Jimmy’s journey will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 3 pm at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Visitation will take place prior to the service, beginning at 1 pm.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
