In what’s been a tough season so far this year, wins have been hard to come by for the Cascade Lady Champions.
In two wins this week, Cascade outscored opponents Grundy County and Tullahoma a combined 29-6 and won back-to-back games for the first time this season.

CASCADE 16, GRUNDY CO. 1
On Monday night, Brianna Horn did a little bit of everything in the Lady Champs’ 16-1 blowout win at Grundy County.
Horn pitched a no-hitter, allowing just one unearned run, while striking out 10 batters in the run-rule limit game.
Horn also went 2-for-4 and knocked in six runs and blasted a three-run homer in the top of the third inning.
Kyndal Bolden also went 1-for-3 with a triple.
Cascade wasted no time pouncing on the Lady Jackets, driving in three runs in the top of the first.
It was a six-run second, highlighted by Horn’s base-clearing, three RBI triple.

CASCADE 13, TULLAHOMA 5
For the second time in as many nights, the Cascade Lady Champions reached the run-rule limit, but the contrast was on Tuesday, Cascade had to rally past Tullahoma to complete the season sweep with the 13-5 win.
Tullahoma plated two runs in the first inning, but another big second inning put Cascade in front with a lead the Lady Champs didn’t give up.
Kloey Carter was the offensive hero for Cascade, going 2-for-3 with three RBIs, while Brianna Horn again got it done at the plate and in the pitcher’s circle.
At the plate, Horn went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a walk, while she took the win in the circle.
She gave up five runs, but only allowed one hit while striking out 10.
