EAGLEVILLE — The high-powered Eagleville offense was more than the Viqueens could overcome in a backyard rivalry loss to the Lady Eagles on Friday night.
Eagleville knocked down 10 3-pointers and put nine players in the scoring column as the Viqueens fell, 66-30.
Eagleville set the tone from the opening tip-off and blazed its way to a 24-6 lead by the end of the first quarter.
The Lady Eagles connected on three of their 10 made treys in the opening quarter and leaned on seven points from Eliza McClaren to lead the home team.
Community managed just a pair of field goals from Anna Haskins and Brooklyn Yoes.
Not much changed by halftime as Eagleville expanded its lead to 41-10.
In the third quarter, however, Haskins finally got her offense working and rallied for 10 of her team-high 12 points, including a 3-of-4 effort at the charity stripe.
But even with the surge from Haskins, Community wasn’t able to dig its way out of the first-half deficit.
Haskins was the lone Viqueen to reach double figures, while Bain led all scorers with 17 points.
Community was back on the road on Tuesday night for another non-district matchup at Cornersville, before closing the week out at Macon County on Friday.
