UNIONVILLE — The Richland Lady Raiders connected on nine made treys and escaped Unionville with a 50-39 win over the Viqueens last week.
Richland’s one-two punch of Shelby Higgins and Bailey Blair combined for 34 points.
Community’s Anna Haskins kept up with her hot start to the season and paced the Purple and Gold with 15 points.
Community trialed 19-13 at the end of the first quarter, but matched Richland’s eight points in the second period.
From there, the Viqueens played Richland fairly evenly until the final quarter.
Community returned home for a pair of games earlier this week against Central Magnet and Huntland before hitting the road to take on backyard rival Eagleville on Friday night.
