Laverne Love Hittson, 73, of Wartrace, died April 2, 2024. She was born December 18, 1950, in Marshall County, Tenn. The daughter of the late Robert F. Love and Alma Newcomb Love.
She was former employee of the Rutherford County Codes Department and a member of Fair Haven Baptist Church.
Laverne is survived by her husband of 45 years, Avery Hittson; son, Ricky Carl Stinnett (Brenda) of Chapel Hill; daughter, Alma Cathy Shelley of Wartrace; brother, Clifford Love (Rosa); sisters, Valerie Stacey (William), Audrey Love; two grandchildren, Shelby Lightfoot (Hayden), Aaron Shelley; one great-grandchild, Elsie Lightfoot.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Willy Love.
Per her request she will be cremated. No services will be scheduled. Hillcrest Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
