Michael W. “Skipper” Hines, 59, of Shelbyville, died February 3, 2024. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, February 8, at Hillcrest Funeral Home Rev. Brent Haley officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
He was an employee of Walmart Distribution Center; former member of the Tennessee National Guard and a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Wilson Hines and Carolyn Sue Bailey Hines; his grandparents, Ross and Katherine Hines, Ida Roth and John Bailey and a nephew, Andrew Purcell.
Michael is survived by his wife, Brenda “Missy” Freeman Hines; a daughter, Cassie (Jeremy) Hill; grandchildren, Savannah Grace Hill, Landon Michael Hill, Lily Claire Hill; brothers, Johnny Lee Hines, Timothy (Tabitha) Hines; sister, Katherine (John) Briggs and several nieces and nephews.
