Mrs. Kathy Bullock Haynes, age 69, of Chapel Hill, Tenn., passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2023, in Nashville. She was born in Nashville and was a daughter of the late John Edward “Nick” Bullock and Ruth Barnes Fuller Bullock. Mrs. Haynes was a homemaker and an active member of Cedar Grove Church. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a niece, Katie Bullock.
Kathy loved sewing and quilting. She had a passion for ancestry researching and serving others. Most of all, she loved her family and being with them and being involved with their activities.
Mrs. Haynes is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Jeff Haynes of Chapel Hill; children, Meri (Chet) Haynes-Savage of Rogers, Ark., Joy (Adam) Hall of Chapel Hill, Jeremy (Jamie) Haynes of Chapel Hill; five grandchildren, Emory Hall, Harper Hall, Landon Haynes, Ally Faye Haynes, Emily Haynes; mother, Ruth Bullock of Holt’s Corner Community; sisters, Jan (Duane) Floyd of Chapel Hill, Laurie (Troy) Crowell of Cornersville, Tenn.; brothers, John (Carolyn) Bullock of Castalian Springs, Tenn., Jerry (Karen) Bullock of Jacksonville, Fla., Kenny (Debbie) Bullock of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Visitation with the family was on Tuesday, February 20, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted today at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Freeman and Rev. Welland Andrus officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery near Chapel Hill.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
