LYNNVILLE — A scoreless third quarter was more than Community could overcome in a non-district matchup on Tuesday night at Richland.
Although the Raiders posted their lowest quarterly point total in the third, Community never could get the offensive wheels moving and took the 46-24 loss.
Richland had a hot start, piling on 17 points, including three made 3-pointers by Jameson Andrews.
Community managed just eight points in each of the first two quarters, yet only trailed by 12 at halftime.
The dagger came in the second half in which the Vikings got just eight points.
Austin Stickler, Maki Fleming and Jaxon Williams each scored four points for Community, while Gage Kirk and Andrews each scored 15.
Community will look to right the ship with two more games this week, with another road game on Thursday at Central Magnet and a home game on Friday against Macon County.
