Ollie Steve Elliott, 70, of Normandy, died January 31, 2024. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 3rd, at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Blanton’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m.
He was born March 7, 1953 in Coffee County, Tenn. A retired Law Enforcement Officer of 28 years for the Shelbyville Police Department and the Bedford County Sheriff’s Department; a Veteran of the U.S. Army; and a member of the Baptist Church. He loved farming and restoring cars and tractors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. Elliott and Louise Goodwin Haynes; his first wife, Nettie Carole Elliott; a daughter, Joy Carole Elliott West; brothers, Johnny Dale Elliott and James David Elliott.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Ann Rhone Elliott; a daughter, Rachel Elliott (Tim) Cantrell; sons, Nathan Andrew (Linda) Hill, William Jeremy Hise, John (Guadalupe) Hise; a sister, Wanda DeSplinter; nine grandchildren, David (Michelle) Cantrell, Jessica (Wesley) Higdon, Andrew (Emily) Hill, Taylor (Cortney) Hill, Caitlin West, Lindsey West, Abigail Creson, Christopher Hise, Jay Hise; nine great-grandchildren, Gabby, Nolan, James, Charlotte, Reed, Tripp, Millie, Aida and Alex.
