The Community Viqueens opened their 2026 softball season in impressive fashion Monday, rolling to an 8–0 victory over the Warren County at Warren County High School.
Annie Prince set the tone in the season opener, firing a one-hit shutout in the circle. Prince didn’t allow a run and limited Warren County to just one hit and two walks while controlling the game from start to finish racking up 18 strikeouts.
Community broke the scoreless tie in the third inning when Gracie Daniel singled to drive in the game’s first run. The Viqueens continued to build momentum offensively and never looked back. Community finished with 14 hits on the night. Prince led the way at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3. Alana Clark, Daniel, and Kamyrn Farrell each drove in two runs, while Alana Tate and Haylee Webb turned in multi-hit performances.
Ceilee Gudat took the loss for Warren County, allowing three runs on five hits over four innings. She struck out three and walked one. Kaydence Wiser accounted for the Lady Pioneers’ lone hit, finishing 1-for-3 at the plate.
The Viqueens (1-0) will look to carry the momentum into their next game Tuesday when they travel to Murfreesboro to face Blackman. Game time is set for 6p.m.

Community pitcher Annie Prince (14) threw a complete game one hitter striking out 18 as the Viqueens open the season with a 8-0 win at Warren Co. Prince helped her cause going 3-3 at the plate.
