Rippy’s 3 RBI night leads Eaglettes

WINCHESTER — Shelbyville Central (2-0) needed just three innings to pick up its first win of the season on Thursday night at Franklin County.
The Eaglettes shelled the Rebelettes’ pitching staff to the tune of eight hits and took the 15-0 win.
After being held scoreless in the first, Shelbyville got RBI singles from Ja’mya Anderson, Greenlea Dresback, Allianna Rippy and a RBI double from Bailey Dunn.
The Eaglettes also drew two bases-loaded walks in the second.
Aside from a walk in the second, Shelbyville kept Franklin County from mounting a comeback at the nine-run lead and in the third, the Eaglettes tacked on six more runs to reach the 15-run rule limit.
Four runs scored off Franklin County errors in the inning and Anderson slugged another RBI single.
Rippy led Shelbyville with a three RBI night, while Dresback, Dunn and Anderson each drove in a pair of runs.
In the pitcher’s circle, Alissa Robb gave up just two hits, while allowing one walk and striking out one.
The Eaglettes will be at Columbia Central on Friday evening.
