Robert Lee Bonds, 81, of Shelbyville died September 6, 2023. Funeral Services were held held 2 p.m. Sunday, September 10, at Hillcrest Funeral Home with Donnie Rader officiating. Burial followed at Willow Mount Cemetery. Visitation was Saturday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
He was a 39 year retired employee of Batesville Casket Co. of Manchester; a member of El Bethel Church of Christ and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie Bonds and Albert “Pinkie” Marsh Harris and a sister, Edna West.
Robert is survived by his wife of 55 years, Frances Elizabeth Bonds; two daughters, Scarlett Hurlburt and Alice (Eric) Harris of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Michael Lee Hurlburt of Smyrna, Ashley Marie Hurlburt of Murfreesboro and a brother, James (Wanda) Bonds of Smyrna.
