Tucked away in the heart of Shelbyville’s historic square, Salon 102 has quietly become more than just a beauty destination—it’s a sanctuary. Since opening its doors in 2007 at 102 Public Square East, the salon has offered more than just haircuts and color. It offers an experience, a sense of peace, and a warm invitation to care not only for your outer self, but your inner well-being.
Founded and lovingly cultivated by Tabitha Lewis, a licensed professional since 1987, Salon 102 is the culmination of a lifelong passion for beauty and connection. Her journey began behind the chair, but soon extended into the world of professional education with Paul Mitchell Hair Care—traveling county by county to inspire fellow stylists. Her talent and drive later landed her on the style team for the Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders, and she spent years behind the scenes at national shows as a model room coordinator. But no matter how far she traveled, Tabitha’s heart remained in Shelbyville.
At Salon 102, Tabitha found the perfect canvas to bring it all home: a space rooted in history, powered by creativity, and surrounded by community.
Inside the salon, a talented team—Taelor Carter, Samantha Neeley, Abbey Crowsey, and Leandra Huitt—welcomes every guest with a blend of professionalism and genuine warmth. Together, they bring over a decade of experience to every service, from custom haircuts and dimensional color to extensions, perms, and special occasion styling. Nail services are also available to complete the self-care ritual.
In 2025, Salon 102 elevated the wellness experience with the addition of a head spa service—a lush, immersive treatment focused on scalp health, relaxation, and stress relief. The response was immediate: guests left not only looking refreshed, but feeling renewed. It’s become a client favorite—a pause in the hustle, a reminder to breathe deeply and treat self-care as soul care.
That same spirit extends beyond the salon’s walls. Salon 102 is an active presence in the community, whether decorating the square for the holidays, participating in events like the Wine Walk, or supporting local causes with donations to Habitat for Humanity, New Destiny Dog Rescue, Bedford County Humane Association, and others. For Tabitha and her team, beauty is a responsibility—to uplift not only their clients, but their hometown.
Whether you’re seeking a bold new look or a quiet moment to unwind, Salon 102 offers something special: a place where beauty meets serenity, and where every appointment feels like a homecoming—for your hair, your heart, and your spirit.
Step into the calm. Step into Salon 102.
