Logan Reed went 2-4 with 3 RBI’s in a win over Hubbard, Ohio.

The Community Vikings continue to make progress as they picked up two wins over spring break.
Moore County 9, Community 5
Moore County’s early offense proved too much for Community in a 9-5 loss Tuesday night. The Raiders scored three runs in the first and four more in the second to take control early. Community answered with solo home runs from Isaiah Beech and Dylan Markum in the first, but couldn’t fully close the gap.
Beech led the Vikings at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a homer and an RBI. Bryce Blanton drove in two runs and added two stolen bases, while Logan Reed and Markum also contributed hits.
Wes Haley provided a strong relief effort, allowing two runs over four innings with six strikeouts.
Canton, IL 3, Community 2
The Vikings lost a close contest in the first game of the Mid-South Classic. Logan Reed pitched six strong innings giving up three runs with Josh Powers throwing one inning of scoreless relief.
Dylan Markum and Wes Haley had RBI’s in the one run loss.
Community 3, Alexandria-Monroe, IN 1
The Vikings leaned on timely hitting and strong pitching to secure a 3-1 victory over Alexandria-Monroe on Thursday.
Locked in a tight pitchers’ duel early, Community broke through in the fifth inning, turning a one-run deficit into the difference in the game. Tyler Wood delivered the big swing with a two-run double, and Bryce Blanton added a sacrifice fly to cap the three-run frame.
That was all the support Community needed. Wood was in control on the mound, tossing five innings and allowing just one run on three hits while striking out three without issuing a walk.
Josh Powers closed the door over the final two innings, surrendering just one hit while striking out three.
Offensively, Community made the most of limited opportunities, finishing with three hits. Wood led the way with a hit and two RBIs, while Brayden Armstrong and Ian Beech each added a hit. Armstrong also scored a run and drew a walk.
Community 8, Hubbard, Ohio 5
Community built an early lead and held on late to defeat Hubbard 8-5 on Friday. The Vikings racked up 10 hits, led by Josh Powers (2-for-4, 2 runs), Wes Haley (2-for-4, RBI) and Logan Reed (2-for-4, 3 RBIs). Masyn Hill delivered a big swing, driving in three runs.
On the mound, Kade Hasty struck out seven over 3.2 innings, while Haley added 2.1 scoreless innings in relief. Dylan Markum worked the final inning as Community combined for 11 strikeouts.
The Vikings (4-12, 0-2) return to district action on Monday as they travel to Loretto. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 P.M.
