Swaggerty continues football career

Ze’Shawn Swaggerty, a senior at Cascade High School in Bedford County, has signed a letter of intent to play football at Bluffton University in Bluffton, Ohio. He previously attended Marshall County Schools and presently, he and his family reside in Christiana.

Sylvia Hill Corley, Ze’Shawn’s grandmother stated, “Through hard work, dedication, and faith, Ze’Shawn achieved the unexpected. An outstanding team of Cascade football coaches brought out the best in Ze’Shawn. These coaches better developed and trained what he already was talented with.”

Jared Carkuff is the head coach at Cascade, an alumnus who returned to lead the team in 2024. The assistant coach is Will Carter.

Bluffton University is a private, liberal arts institution, founded in 1899.

The university is located in Bluffton, Ohio, and focuses on Christian values, community, and service. Top programs include business and education. The athletic program competes in NCAA Division III (Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference).
