Thomas Brenton Burks Jr., of Tullahoma, passed this life on Monday, January 29, 2024 at his residence at the age of 73. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Amazing Grace Community Church, 1046 Unionville Deason Road, Unionville, TN 37180.
Pastor Mike Hannah and Associate Pastor Dewight Boswell will officiate.
Mr. Burks, a native of South Bend, Ind., was the son of the late Thomas Brenton and Bettye Carol Bass Burks. He was a member of the Amazing Grace Community Church of Unionville. He enjoyed hiking and going to car shows. He played basketball in high school and enjoyed watching all types of sports. He also enjoyed family gatherings and attending church activities.
Mr. Burks is survived by his wife, Jeannie Burks of Tullahoma; sons, David Burks (Ashleigh) of Murfreesboro and Jonathan Howison (Jillian) of Scottsdale, Ariz.; daughters, Tracey Burks of Bell Buckle and Trina Stinson (Chris) of Lynchburg; brothers, Larry Burks (Ruth) of Cookeville and Richard Burks (Elisa) of Murfreesboro; sister, Gloria Crick (James) of Wartrace; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made in his name to the Amazing Grace Community Church, c/o Mike Hannah, P O Box 22, Unionville, Tennessee 37180.
